With separate categories for elementary and middle school students, every competitor is on a level playing field, matched against peers at the same stage of learning.

Students will dive into the art of soldering and learn to build their own working circuits from scratch — and the best part? They take their creation home! This 3.5-hour hands-on workshop is designed for curious young learners ready to explore the world of electronics and making.
To ensure every young maker has the support they need, we will have experienced instructors and floating mentors available throughout the entire 3.5-hour workshop. Our mentors will guide students hands-on through every step of the soldering process — from safety fundamentals to building and completing their very own working circuit. No prior experience is needed! Our goal is to make sure every student feels confident, supported, and proud of what they create. And the best part? Every student takes their finished circuit home as a reminder of what they built with their own hands.
Whether your child is a budding engineer or picking up a soldering iron for the very first time, this workshop will spark a love for making that lasts long beyond the day. Don't miss your chance to build, create, and walk away as a true young maker!

This one-day event is ideal for students looking to elevate their public speaking and critical thinking abilities in a dynamic, yet supportive setting.
To ensure all participants have the guidance they need, we will have floating mentors available throughout the event. These experienced mentors will assist students in refining their arguments, answering questions, and offering helpful tips as they prepare for each round of the competition. Our goal is to provide every participant with the support they need to perform their best! We'll be sending a list of possible topics for students to think about a day in advance to give students some time to prepare, and their finalized topics will be provided at the beginning of the event so students can create their arguments and practice.
